I am working alongside Somerset based contractor who specialise within the Civil Engineering and more specifically water and utilities sectors. They're looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to work on projects across the region.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll be an integral part of the commercial team and assume all aspects of commercial responsibility of multiple water pipeline contracts concurrently.
Duties will include:
- Costing and forecasting of the various materials / plant
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
- Track any design variation and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Procure and engage the services of contractors and / or subcontractors
- Liaise with the client and project team
- Writing reports and general contract administration
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you must have at least two years of relevant experience, ideally within water contracts and live within a reasonable daily commute of central Somerset.
